Background
Mecitoglu Building Materials, the sister company of Mecitoglu Homes,
started out in early 1970s by supplying building materials and
sanitary-ware to the newly developing city of Antalya. It is now one
of the biggest chain of the Vitra group which is well known for
producing high quality building materials & sanitary-ware in Turkey
and in Europe. Mecitoglu later also became one of the biggest official
retailers of Siemens Home Appliances and Beko Air-conditioning Units
in the region.
The company considered there was a need for high quality built homes
in the Antalya region for the discerning European & British customers,
therefore it was a natural progression of selling building materials,
to building new homes. So In 1990 the Daughter Mecitoglu Homes Company
was founded to build high standard Villas, Duplexes, and apartments in
the Side and Antalya area, and our first was completed in 1990. In the
past 16 years Mecitoglu Homes has expanded rapidly and by the end of
2006 Mecitoglu Homes will have built over 500 homes.
